Overview
Calling all Dreamers, Doers and Game Changers…
Have you ever thought about the world around you? The streets we walk down, the bridges we cross and the buildings that surround us, all started as a concept that has been built into reality. As a global design and engineering consultancy, we help connect the dots that shape our everyday life.
At Stantec, our mission is to design with community in mind. To do this, we need your curiosity, imagination, and passion to help design the face of the future, transforming the way we live by creating sustainable solutions for generations to come.
Our apprenticeship programme is designed for those who are passionate to continue learning, yet keen to kickstart their career and earn a living – who said you can’t have both? We give you the ultimate platform to build the foundations of your career in your chosen discipline. Not only will you be supported to develop your technical skills, but you will also increase your exposure on real projects from start to finish. The benefit of taking an apprenticeship with Stantec is that our career development framework is designed to develop softer skills as well as complement your studies, taking you one step closer to becoming professionally chartered. The best part is your professional qualifications are fully funded by us.

Land Aid
Every year we remove single-use plastics from our graduate and apprentice recruitment campaigns and instead using our budget in a more globally responsible way. This year we have decided to partner with LandAid.
In 2019/20, an estimated 120,000 young people asked for help from their local council because they were homeless or at risk of homelessness.
It’s a problem that LandAid are here to help tackle.
As the Property Industry Charity, LandAid unite over 200 organisations from across the sector, working together to bring an end to youth homelessness.
As a Charitable Trust, they distribute funding to frontline charities supporting the young and homeless – and primarily fund capital projects, such as renovating homes and building bedspaces.
We have seen the incredible impact that can happen when the industry unites and so Stantec are proud to be working alongside LandAid this year.
Together, we can end youth homelessness.

Inclusion & Diversity
At Stantec, we create opportunity by inviting, embracing, and celebrating differences. This goal remains at the heart of our efforts to champion inclusion and diversity throughout our organisation. To achieve that goal, we must continue to build an inclusive workplace that empowers and inspires but also attracts and nurtures the very best talent from all over the world.
We champion inclusion for two reasons. First, because it’s the right thing to do; everyone deserves the freedom to bring their whole selves to work without fear of judgement or discrimination. And second, because an inclusive workplace culture attracts and invites the full spectrum of talent into the organisation. At Stantec we have various Employee Resource groups (ERG’s), these groups create a safe space for employees to discuss the issues surrounding personal experiences and encourage all employees to be their true self!
Some of our ERG’s include Neurodiversity Employee Resource Group, Pride@Stantec and Women@Stantec. For more information on our ERG’s and Stantec UK Inclusion & Diversity approach please go to
