IN SHORT
At Milton Keynes College, we are ambitious for our learners, the communities we serve and the future of the City of Milton Keynes. Our focus is on where we actively break down barriers to transform lives. Milton Keynes College Group is unique as the only further education group in the country with a flagship Institute of Technology alongside a thriving college campus and a national prison contract, extending the reach of our physical footprint from Durham to the Isle of Wight. We are deeply committed to meeting the education and skills needs of one of the fastest growing and productive areas within Europe and to do this, we champion inclusion and challenge inequality, and use our influence to encourage others to do the same.
Following the recent appointment of a new CEO and Group Principal, we are seeking a Chief Operating Officer to support the development of our systems, processes, reporting and budgets to help us realise our full potential. As well as supporting positive change and development across all parts of the organisation, our new Chief Operating Officer will lead Finance and Funding, Management Information and Analysis, Estates & Facilities, IT and be part of the Executive Leadership Team. Applicants will need to demonstrate their effectiveness at both a strategic and operational level with a leadership style that is highly inclusive; bringing people, systems and processes together across a number of essential functions.
Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion practices are a priority for the MK College Group. We’re looking for individuals who have experience and/or a real interest in inclusive and positive action. MK College will treat all applicants fairly and with respect, irrespective of their background, disability or any other individual characteristic. We particularly encourage applications from people with backgrounds which are currently under-represented within Milton Keynes College. All offers made to successful candidates are subject to satisfactory outcomes to a range of pre-employment checks including a Disclosure and Barring Service check (DBS). In addition, security clearance is required for all prison services positions up to Counter Terrorist Check (CTC) level.
