Felsted, an ‘Outstanding in Every Aspect’ ISI rated Independent Day and Boarding School, requires an Examinations Officer to be responsible for the administration and organisation of all aspects of external, internal and university entry exams in accordance with the regulations laid down by the awarding bodies.
The Examinations Officer also acts as the main contact for examining bodies, SLT, teaching staff, pupils and parents for information regarding the school’s procedure and organisation of external exams in the school. The Examinations Officer also has line management responsibilities for a team of casual examination invigilators.
The successful candidate will have proven administration and data management experience. It is vital that applicants possess excellent communication and ICT skills, and have the ability to remain calm under pressure.
This role is a permanent position working 37.5 hours per week during term-time plus 30 specified days within the School Holidays (totalling 40 weeks per annum). The working hours are Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm, with occasional Saturday mornings during internal examination periods (with time off in lieu agreed with in advance).
