We have an exciting new opportunity for a Health and Safety Assistant to work in partnership across the organisation to create an environment of continuous listening and learning to enhance the services, environments and outcomes that are delivered.
You will support the H&S Manager to develop and implement the strategic health & safety governance framework, making sure the organisation maintains a progressive and adaptive approach to be a person-led specialist care provider.
Provide administrative support to the H&S Team
Conducting monitoring reviews and tasks as part of delivery of the H&S work programme.
Maintenance of H&S related systems.
Collation of event information (accidents, near miss, incidents) for reporting to H&S Team and Senior Management
Involvement in specific thematic reviews and ad-hoc project work.
Respond flexibly to business needs: providing assistance with other H&S related activities as necessary
To build effective relationships both internally and externally relevant to the role
To develop and maintain H&S regulatory knowledge relevant to areas of responsibility.
To maintain the required level of personal and professional training and competency required for the role
Promote a strong culture
Your Knowledge and experience:
Customer service or administrative experience
Proficient in use of Microsoft Word and Excel
Ability and willingness to learn
Social care settings
Diligent and accurate
Strong communication skills both written and verbal
Enquiring and investigative mind set
Organized with ability to effectively prioritize tasks and to work effectively under pressure
Able to work independently, flexibly and as part of a team
