KIMS Hospital is the largest independent hospital in Kent and we are recruiting. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who can utilise their existing administrative and customer service skills within our fast-paced Reservations department.
Our reservations team work together to ensure that all patient bookings are made in a timely manner, co-ordinating clinics and liaising with consultants and secretaries to ensure patients receive safe and outstanding quality care from their first contact with the hospital.
As a Reservations Administrator you will organise outpatient bookings, organise and manage outpatient clinics, liaise with Consultants, Consultant’s secretaries, Medical Insurance Companies and patients using various computer systems.
You will to be a confident multi-tasker with excellent attention to detail who works well to tight deadlines.
This role is for 37.5 hours per week – Mondays to Fridays. The hours of work will be either 08:00 – 16:00, 09:00 – 17:00, 12:00 – 20:00 (on a rota basis).
Role Responsibilities include:
Take bookings from Consultants, Insurance Companies, Patients or Secretaries using the booking form provided
Assist patients via telephone and email
Ensure all necessary paperwork is completed and enter bookings into diary and onto computer system
Liaise closely with internal departments and external stakeholders regarding patient bookings
Managing consultant clinic diaries and make amendments when required
Answer a high volume of telephone calls for patients
Action all incoming e-mails
Person Specification:
Be educated to GCSE standard (or equivalent), including English and Maths
Proven experience using Microsoft packages and databases
Impeccable telephone manner
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both oral and written
Relevant experience within an administrative/customer service role
Good keyboard/input speed
Experience of working to tight deadlines
