Swale Academies Trust has a new opportunity to appoint a Senior Finance Assistant to join our expanding central finance team based in Sittingbourne, Kent. This post has arisen due to internal promotion of the current post-holder. You will be a hardworking, friendly and organised individual, ideally with school finance experience and people management skills.
Key duties include supporting our finance assistants with training and workload prioritisation, managing the month-end process, maintaining ParentPay items, and dealing with queries from staff, suppliers, customers and parents.
This is a challenging but rewarding role, encompassing a range of duties working with multiple stakeholders both internal and external. The successful candidate will be a strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills, and someone who is able to prioritise both their own workload and that of others.
A good working knowledge of IRIS Financials (PSF) will be a distinct advantage but is not essential.
Training opportunities to obtain recognised qualifications via an apprenticeship route are available for the right candidate.
