Pay Range: Teachers Main/Upper Pay Scale with TLR 2B
Actual Salary from: £28,000 – £43,685 (M1 – U3)

An exciting opportunity has arisen at The Colne Community School and College for a Subject Leader for RE to join our Humanities Faculty.

Therefore, we are seeking to recruit a proactive and forward thinking member of staff to enrich the skills and experience already present in our Humanities Department. Our school community is expanding which makes this a particularly unique and exciting time to join our team. We have a brand new teaching block consisting of 8 new classrooms and 4 specialist Design and Technology rooms which are fully equipped, including a metal workshop, two wood/plastics mixed workshops, CAD room and two kitchens using both gas and electric ovens and hobs. A further large scale internal refurbishment will be taking place over the 2022/23 academic year which will further improve our school environment for all.

The position will suit an experienced RE Teacher.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:
Be accountable for student progress and development within the department;
Be innovative in your own teaching and to develop and enhance the teaching practice of others;
Take a lead in planning collaboratively with colleagues in order to promote effective practice;
Be accountable for leading, managing and developing subjects within the department.
