We’re looking for a self-motivated ‘people-person’ to join our team as a Support Worker (Single Homeless Pathway) on a permanent basis, working 21 hours per week. In this role you’ll actively promote health and wellbeing to our residents and those with complex needs, so they can develop independent living skills, remain independent and move on to living within the wider community and prevent future homelessness.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll identify, assess and produce plans to support our residents’ needs, provide them with life and social skills, ensure security and safety within their living environment and help them to learn how to live a happy, independent life for a better future.
What you’ll have
If you have the skills to communicate with your customers, showing empathy, compassion and patience then you’re already on the right path to success in this role. No experience is necessary, as long as you have the right attitudes and ambition!
You must be able to work flexibly over 7 days, with the ability to travel across the island, working in the different service locations. You’ll also be expected to work as part of the on-call rota.
