The HERA Service is designed to support and empower young women and gender diverse individuals (aged 10-18) to make informed choices about the emotional and physical relationships that they have and give them the confidence and emotional resilience to enact them.
The postholder will offer wide-ranging, individual and group-based support to those who have had adverse childhood experiences and are considered to be at greater risk of abusive and exploitative relationships, early sexual activity and teenage pregnancy.

Degree level qualification (or academic equivalent) in related area.
Skills & Experience Required
Experience of delivering individual and group based interventions for young people who have experienced trauma
Experience of meaningful engagement with young people and their families
Experience of working effectively with schools and other education settings
Experience of working to safeguard young people
A good understanding of agencies and support available for families in Kent
Strong organisational ability including ability to plan workload and manage own time
A high level of written and verbal presentation skills and ICT skills
Knowledge of the impact of Adverse Childhood Experiences and trauma informed
Knowledge of emotional well-being and mental health for children and young people
A clear understanding of Safeguarding and Data Protection legislation
An ability to remain calm whilst working under pressure and within tight timescales on
sensitive and confidential issues
To be creative and proactive, able to use initiative and make sound judgements
An ability to deal with a number of tasks at once and to be flexible with work routines
A positive outlook and a result focused approach
To work effectively as part of a team
An understanding of Safeguarding and Data Protection legislation
